About

For over twenty five years I have sought to inspire creativity and healing in others from teaching adults how to draw, counseling artists on their career development, leading workshops in art for healing and volunteering with foster children.

In 2009 I began my journey as an art therapist. My experience ranges widely from working with children, adolescents, and families in their homes, schools and day treatment programs to my current private practice in which I see older children, adolescents and adults as individuals, couples, and families.

In 2015 I earned my license in Marriage and Family Therapy and in 2019 I completed my qualifications for national registration and board certification as an Art Therapist.

I achieved my Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Marriage and Family Therapy in 2012 at Adler Graduate School, MN, and in 2008 completed Expressive Arts Facilitator Training at the Expressive Arts Institute, Salve Regina University, RI. In 2002 I completed Spiritual Practices In Relationship Intensive Training (S.P.I.R.I.T.) at Theophilus Divinity School, Minneapolis, MN.

My interdisciplinary, self-designed 1995 Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Olaf College "Art, Women, and the Search for Self" was in Studio Arts, Women's Studies, and Psychology.
